Theater Standard and Marquee
The Cal Poly Pomona Theater and New Dance Department sought to create a cohesive visual identity for their seasonal productions. This included designing a versatile standard and marquee that could be applied to all play posters. I collaborated with a team of designers to develop and refine concepts, ensuring that the final design would align with the department's aesthetic vision and communicate effectively to their audience.
Over several critiques and revisions, my design stood out as the most effective solution for the standard and marquee. It was a clean and structured border that allowed each production’s unique character to shine while maintaining a consistent brand identity. The marquee features bold typography and dynamic layout options, enhancing visibility and clarity.
Once the standard was established, we were tasked with creating individual posters for the season’s productions.
Our Dear Dead Drug Lord
A darkly dramatic play, this poster required a bold, evocative design. My concept focused on moody and spiritual imagery and contrasting elements to capture the play's intensity. The Theater Department selected my poster for its ability to visually encapsulate the tone and theme of the production.

Peachy, Watsonville, and Dance Concert Posters
For these productions, I adapted the standard and marquee to fit their unique narratives, ensuring each design complemented the story while maintaining consistency with the overall branding. The process involved collaboration with the department to refine visual elements and typography to reflect the distinct mood of each performance.
The standard and marquee design are now integral to the Theater Department's branding, providing a cohesive and professional look for their productions. The posters successfully promoted the plays and were put into production.
