Book Cover Re-Design

For this project, we re-imagined the cover design for John Steinbeck’s classic novel Cannery Row. Our goal was to capture the essence of the book’s rich characters and coastal setting while modernizing the design for contemporary audiences. We began by researching the novel’s themes and historical context, drawing inspiration from both the text and the vibrant Monterey setting. Through several iterations and critiques, we developed a cover that balances nostalgia with a fresh, bold look, ultimately creating a design that resonates with both long-time fans and new readers.
